the slow hour

Most places want you in and out. We built Olas & Flamingo to do the opposite.

There's a moment, usually somewhere in the middle of an appointment, when a guest stops checking their phone. Their shoulders drop an inch. They start telling a stylist about their week, or their kid, or nothing at all. That's the moment we're after. Not the before-and-after photo — though we love those too —and the exhale in between.

We take our time on purpose. We don't double-book the chair or rush a color to turn a table. When you sit down with us, that hour is yours. the warm towel, the scalp massage that goes a beat longer than it has to, the saffron and rose of the Joon System, the way our Dryology pedicure gives you baby smooth feet. None of it is an accident. That's the whole point.

Six years in, the regulars feel like friends. They know the team by name and the team knows their order before they ask. Somebody always remembers the trip you mentioned last time, or asks how the new job is going. It grows when you give people a reason to slow down and come back.

Nashville moves fast. We're glad to be the place that doesn't.
