what is gel-x?

gel-x, explained (and why your nails will thank you)

if you've ever left a nail appointment loving the look but dreading the damage, gel-x might be the thing you've been waiting for.

here's the short version: gel-x is a soft-gel extension. a pre-shaped tip is fitted to your natural nail and cured under led light — no harsh removal and no acrylic fumes. you get the length and shape of an extension with a fraction of the wear on your real nail.

how long does gel-x last?
most of the flock gets two to three weeks of solid wear before a fill. with gentle hands (and a little cuticle oil), three-plus is common.

gel-x vs. acrylic vs. regular gel
acrylic is durable but tough on the nail bed. regular gel polish is gorgeous but won't add length. gel-x sits in the sweet spot — length and strength, soaked off cleanly when you're ready for a change.
