we'd rather tell you what it's actually like.
downtime is part of the plan
some days are full. saturdays run back to back, and there are seasons where the book stays tight all week. that's the work, and we're honest about it.
but we don't run every day that way. when volume allows, we leave room between guests — time to finish properly, reset your station, and take a breath before the next one. downtime isn't wasted time here. it's how the work stays good and how people last.
a guest should leave feeling like she was somewhere calm. that only happens if the person doing her hair or her nails has room to work.
two locations, one team
we have two nashville salons — 12 south and goldfinch. same brand, same standards, same team. depending on where you are in your career and what you want to build, there's flexibility in where and how you work.
we hire licensed cosmetologists who want to do more than one thing
hair and nails both live under this roof, and some of the best people here do both. if you're licensed and you want to keep your hands in more than one service, that's not unusual here. it's the norm.
we also hire people who are early. new license, small book, still figuring out their strengths. that's fine. what we can't teach is whether you care.
what we provide
ongoing education and hands on training. real, scheduled, in-salon training on the services we actually offer, with someone senior beside you.
personal development and mentorship. one on one, on a regular cadence — where you are, what you're working on, what's next. you'll know exactly what you need to hit to move up, because it's written down.
long term growth. we are building this salon to last, with documented systems, defined roles, and a clear path from junior to senior to lead. there is a version of your career here that keeps going. that's the point.
what we ask
you're licensed in tennessee, or finishing school soon
you show up on time, every time
you take feedback well, and you ask for it
you care how a guest feels, not just how the work photographs
you keep it clean — your station, your tools, your habits
you're good to the people you work with
that last one is not filler. we don't do gossip here, and we don't do drama on the floor. it's the fastest way to ruin a good room.
